Karine began her journey as a physiotherapist in 2005, treating patients in a variety of clinical settings, including the National University Hospital in Reykjavik, Iceland, as well as local hospitals in Longmont and Boulder, Colorado. In 2016, a course in Pelvic Health ignited her passion to specialize in this field. Since then, Karine has completed numerous advanced courses in Pelvic Health and Obstetric Physical Therapy through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy.
One of her proudest professional accomplishments was developing a Pelvic Health program for early postpartum mothers at Boulder Community Health (BCH) in 2019. This program ensures that every postpartum woman at the hospital is evaluated by a physical therapist within 24 hours of giving birth. Each year, more than 700 women benefit from this program.
